Press Release-19th March 2009
The County Antrim Milk Cup Committee has taken the bold step in appointing Pascal Vaudequin, the current IFA Elite Programme Manager and Northern Ireland Under 17 Assistant Manager, as Director of Football for the county teams. Under his guidance the Premier Management Team has taken on a new look with Stefan Seaton, head coach of N I Liverpool Development Centre and formerly Linfield’s U18’s, being appointed as manager. His colleague Davy Chisholm, head coach of Linfield youth academy, is assistant and Gregory McClean, our IFA County goalkeeping coach, in support. Jim Thompson and Stevie Carson, currently having a great season as a player at Coleraine FC where he is youth Development officer, complete this formidable line up.
Stephen Graham takes on the role of Junior Manager having been involved as assistant manager for several years; he himself was a N I U16 Schools International before playing for Portadown. His new assistant manager is Alan Buchanan currently on the coaching staff of Carrick Rangers. They are skilfully supported by Johnny Michael, who has been a grassroots development officer with the IFA for three years, and Rodney Dalzell, who holds an IFA Goalkeepers Licence and has been with Trojans FC as a player, coach and manager in past years. We know that with the wealth of expertise and experience in our management teams our players will get the best coaching available and encourage our supporters to visit our new website www.antrimmilkcup.com to see the arrangements for trials and more details of our staff.
If any businesses could see fit to support these young men in any way, to sponsor kit or advertise in our free publications, we would be most grateful for your assistance and contact details are on our website.
We are all looking forward to an exciting and successful year for Co Antrim in 2009 where our young players will share a truly professional and memorable experience at this world famous tournament.
